DESIGN PROCESS

The DESIGN PROCESS is the journey by which each project is the unique destination:

• First, this is the act of questioning in order to understand your needs and the purpose of the project;

• Then, we assemble the right team for the type of project - whether it's new, renovated, or expanded residential; commercial, institutional; public, or private; penthouse or barn - we have an extensive network of talented architects, expert consultants, and quality builders from years of trusted collaboration around the world;  

• This is followed by a period of research to understand the opportunities and constraints of the site and jurisdiction.

• Importantly, early on, we create a road-map to understand the budget, schedule, approvals, and construction process to keep things on track.

• Then begins the fun part of wild ideation, imagination, envisioning, revisioning, creating, modeling, pinning, touring, inspiring, rendering, drawing, and dreaming. 

• After each stage of the design period (Concept, Schematic, Development, Construction Drawings) we check in with the contractor and sub-contractors to gauge the budget and their fit for the job. 

• Finally, like the second pinning of a custom suit or dress, many decisions are made in the field during construction that ensure quality and precision during the Construction Administration phase.
